Today's featured cupcake spot is Ivy Bakery, located in the heart of Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. I have to admit that when I first walked into the bakery, the selection left me a little stunned. Instead of rows and rows of deliciously baked concoctions, there were only a few items stored on the counter.
I immediately thought to myself, "Self? This is not what you expected."
And then I bought a peanut butter cupcake that rocked my world. The frosting? A creamy fudge dollop placed neatly in the middle of a delicious tiny cake. The "cake" part of the cupcake wasn't dense at all, but slightly crumbly with a hint of peanut butter. The cupcake was so awesome that I had to try another.
I tried the vanilla, and it too was delectable. Ivy Bakery was the perfect spot to welcome me back to New York after my week-long stint in Miami.
