Goals

I'm sitting in my messy living room trying to enjoy the remainder of my spring recess. Of course, what attempt at enjoying vacation would be complete without one "healthy" homemade peanut butter smoothie with banana creme protein and some silly MTV "documentary" blaring from my television in the background.

Of course, I just came back from the gym. THE gym. The gym I'm supposed to love because in time, the gym will - with my help, of course - give me the better body that I'm craving.

So as I'm sitting here, I'm trying to put my whole entire 29 years into perspective. I'm trying to think of all the crazy dreams and goals that I have had in my life - one of which was to become a writer. A long time ago a friend of mine encouraged me to continue my weekly e-mail updates that I used to send whenever the mood struck me. These e-mails were one part truth and five parts imagination. I saved a few of them, and they were actually quite hilarious.

I used to be hilarious once. I don't know what happened. Old age? Depression? Work? Unrequited love? Sure, I have a lot of theories on my loss of hilarity, but none that I will share here - yet.

So anyway, the title of this post is "Goals," so I might as well get into a few of my "goals," right?

Goal #1: Start writing again - whether it be in a blog, a diary, an e-mail...whatever. I have this urge to write, and I have this dream that one day I shall be discovered...maybe.

Goal #2: Start cleaning more (HA!).

Whew! thinking of goals is really hard work! I need a nap. Goal-making really takes a lot out of a girl.
