Shake It. Move It. Do It 'Til You're Satisfied.

"Everyone line up and get ready for Gym," I called out to my class. Like magic, all of my students lined up in their two straight and somewhat quiet lines.

As they gathered into line, Fraggle, one of my best-dressed to impress students, placed his "lunch" of Sprite, honey barbecue chips, and a Kit-Kat on my front table. I didn't see Fraggle put his lunch on my table, so I immediately made an announcement.

"Alright, kids. I'm taking Kit-Kat, chips, and Sprite if no one claims it."

Silence filled the room.

"No one? No one? Hmmm...well I guess I'm going to have to take the goods and eat them for my lunch today," I continued in a singsong voice.

"I think they're Fraggle's," one of my students said.

"Fraggle? You better get this goodness before I gobble it up!"

"Okay," Fraggle said while showing his winning smile.

"For real?" I queried.

"For real," Fraggle replied coolly.

I snatched the snacks and asked the class to walk out into the hallway. Charity, the only girl in my class, walked with me at the end of the line. It was at that exact moment that I did what I have wanted to do since I was younger. I took Fraggle's Sprite and began shaking it up and down furiously.

"I'm going to tell Fraggle what you did!" Charity whispered.

That only inspired me to shake the can harder. I shook it to the east, I shook it to the west. I even shook it to the one that I liked the best. I jumped up and I jumped down. I shook my khula shaker all around.

Okay, so you get the point.

"But it's going to explode all over him during lunch!" Charity insisted.

I stopped dead in my tracks and pondered Charity's words. Yes, the soda would explode all over Fraggle. She was right. I shook the can harder.

"I'm really going to tell him."

"Charity, if you tell Fraggle that I shook his Sprite can, I.will.kill.you,. Besides, you have Gym right now, and that lasts what? Forty-five minutes? Fraggle's soda will have calmed down by then. He'll never know."

Charity giggled and we continued walking behind the rest of the class. I love being sneaky. Now I know what all of my weebles feel like when they think their eyes aren't on me.
