Twenty-Three Things You Didn't Know About Me

I'm bored, and when I get bored, I think. When I think, I need an outlet. So um, here's my outlet.

Apparently I seem to be stuck on the number twenty-three, which is weird, because I don't even LIKE odd numbers. Anyway, moving on.   Here's twenty-three things that you may not *care to* know about me.

1. I'm barely 5'0" tall.

2. I'm a Sagittarius, which, in my humble opinion, is the "sasshole" of the Zodiac.

3. I have astigmatism mixed with a little bit of nearsightedness. Although I'm not on the level of Governor Patterson with respect to eyesight, I'm pretty damn blind without some form of corrective lenses.

4. The movie "Amadeus" pretty much helped me decide that I wanted to be a pianist. I fell in love with that movie when I was nine...Tom Hulce and F. Murray Abraham shaped my whole existence. I knew that movie backwards and forwards.

5. I saw "Home Alone" in the theater...twice. I own the movie on VHS, and I can remember such memorable lines as, "You're what the French call les incompetent," and "I made my family disappear.  I made my family disappear!"  Oh Kevin.  You're such a riot!

6.  Every time I watch "The Color Purple" I cry at the same two scenes: Celie's sister leaving Mister's house when they were younger, and Celie's sister returning at the end of the movie.  I bawl.  Like a newborn.  Trust.

7.  I'm really anal about spelling.

8.  I was going to pursue a career as a surgeon until 5th grade.  Apparently my Science teacher thought it would be a pretty good idea to dissect starfish.  I mutilated mine, and decided that the sciences and I were to forever be sworn enemies.

9.  I was a premie.

10. I know how to make paper diamonds.

11.  I hate to cook, but I can make grilled cheese sandwiches upon request.

12.  The weirdest nickname I've ever been given is "Peanut."

13.  My emotions show on my face. 

14.  I believe I own over 100 bookmarks.  If that doesn't scream "nerd," then I don't know what else does.

15.  I love Hall and Oates.

16.  I'm missing two lymph nodes.  I had my tonsils removed because they were ruining my life.

17.  One of my all time favorite Prince songs is "Raspberry Beret."

18.  I owned most of NSYNC's albums.

19.  "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" is one of my favorite 80s movies...along with "Enemy Mine."

20.  I've never seen "Deliverance."

21.  I feel like I should become a forensic psychologist.

22.  I have freckles.

23.  My favorite fragrance in all the world is Verbena.
