Shhh...He's Thinking. Don't Disturb His Brain Cells.

So remember Number 23, the boy who made my heart sing a long, long time ago? Well, once upon a time, Tiny Teacher did something that is against the "He's A Douche bag, So Why Don't You Ignore Him Rules." In the search for a perfect answer to a rather obvious situation, I e-mailed Number 23 to find out about the nature of our um, "relationship" (or lack thereof).

Like the true adult that I was (am), I asked Number 23 if we were any of the following:

A. Friends
B. Friends, but friends who sometimes kiss each other and then pretend that the kissing NEVER happened, or
C. Not friends at all

Much to my chagrin, I hoped that Number 23 would provide a rather quick answer. However, he did not.

One day turned into one week...

...One week turned into two weeks.

At this point, I had deleted his number and rued the day I ever sat sober in front of my computer to ask any questions of a boy whatsoever. All of this drama would have been a lot easier on my emotional heartstrings if I had been inebriated at the time of that one dreaded e-mail.

And then? On the tenth business day, he sent a text.

"Hi...you gave me a lot of food for thought. I'm still thinking. I hope u r well as well...glad you got all of that off your chest."

Seriously? SERIOUSLY? All that typing, and all he can say is that he's still thinking and then mentioning something about getting "all of that" off of my chest?

Hmmph. So I stared at my phone not once, but twice. Then I looked to the heavens and asked God why he created such a stupid excuse of a man. Then I looked at my phone again. Then I looked to the heavens. I didn't know that an e-mail that basically asked about the nature of our "friendship" was fodder for two weeks' worth of thinking.

So me, being the snarky little bitch that I am, sent a very loving text back.

"Hey, 23. Didn't mean to send an e-mail that would make you think so hard (insert pathetic smiley here). Take all the time in the world. When you finally come up with an answer, please let me know, as I'm STILL CONFUSED. Take care..."

Anyone out there have any suggestions?

Til next time...
